Amy Hastings is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Canada Packers.
Amy Hastings brings more than 15 years of experience advising public and private companies on legal, governance, and corporate affairs matters. Over the course of her career, she has led complex M&A transactions and public listings, and advised boards and executive teams on regulatory, securities, and strategic matters across multiple jurisdictions. She is known for providing pragmatic, business-focused counsel in demanding environments.
At Canada Packers, Amy leads the company's legal and governance functions, including securities and corporate secretarial responsibilities.
Prior to joining Canada Packers, Amy served as General Counsel and Founder of Ionik Corporation where she led the company's go-public transaction and oversaw enterprise-wide legal functions across a portfolio of more than 10 operating subsidiaries in North America. Earlier in her career, she held senior legal roles at Perk Inc., RhythmOne plc and began her legal career at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP and Gowling WLG.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
