Dezi Singh is Vice President, People at Canada Packers. In this role, he oversees the Human Resources and Health and Safety functions at the company, including all HR plant and corporate functions, health and safety programs and social compliance.

Previously, Dezi held the role of Vice President, Human Resources and Labour Relations at Maple Leaf Foods, leading a team of more than 75 HR professionals. He has held progressive HR roles at Maple Leaf Foods since joining the company in 2015.

A Human Resources Executive with more than 17 years of experience, Dezi has lent his expertise to organizations such as Canada Post, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) before assuming his role at Maple Leaf Foods.

Dezi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the Schulich School of Business, a Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) degree from Queen’s University, and a Master of Law (LLM) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Dezi is a part-time instructor at York University, sits on York University’s Program Advisory Council and is also the Chair of the Canadian Manufacturer’s and Exporters Ontario Human Resources Committee.
